CD Reviews

YOU MUST GET THIS CD!

"This is a great project from beginning to end. All of the cuts are good. I'ts very rare to find a gospel cd w/different styles all on one cd. The combination between Asaph Ward & Londa is a perfect fit. I hope to hear more from this singer. "Hold On" is a strong one. "He's Alright" is off the chain! By the time she gets through w/that one you will believe it! "He lives" is just a groove that you will play over & over. "Better Days" has a little "Janet" sound going on there. (I hope I don't offend anyone for saying that) I like it. I love the whole cd.
God bless you Londa."
One of the best contemporary CD's from 2001.

"There is not a weak cut on this CD. All of them have superb production, excellent lyrics, outstanding melodies, and catchy beats on the uptempo songs. The cap to all of this is Ms. Larmond's more-than-capable voice. One reviewer has stated she's been compared to Kim Burrell. I can hear a little of that combined with Dorinda Clark-Cole and a higher-pitched Lisa Page Brooks, but this sista truly has a style all her own. Londa has a "humble" style of singing, meaning she's never unnecessarily singing through every single second of the song. She allows time for the lyrics to sink in, without showboating (although it's apparent that she can). Very tasteful.Yet another good point about this album -- it has only 10 songs, which is a GOOD thing. So many times with recent releases, the artist chooses to put 19 & 20 songs on one CD...which makes it lose its impact (and sometimes it just gets old!). Londa has chosen 10 wonderful songs with a wide diversity of styles, and they're perfectly balanced. You'll see what I mean when you listen to it; it gets better with every successive listen, too. This is a GREAT album and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys comtemporary gospel music. I'm looking forward to Londa's next release."
