"This superb collection focuses on Sonora Poncena's early recordings. While I strongly recommend it to all serious salseros I must also say that this CD's sound quality leaves plenty to be desired--most tracks' sound quality is very poor and shabby. Nonetheless, this is some of the best Puerto Rican salsa ever recorded and is a worthwhile CD for your library (just know that its sound quality is quite poor--had it been better, I'd have given it 5 stars.)"
