"His top ten tunes...let's actually make that his big seven out of the ten. Original, not re-recorded like so many are. Great quality and just exactly what you need from this fantastic hit maker of the late 50's. A must for every early rock buff. This is power at it's finest. Let's not forget Lloyd as one of the very best. "Just Because" is the best cut of the bunch, but they are all sensational!"

"These are the ones you're looking for if you want a piece of rock and roll/R&B history. Lloyd Price was there BEFORE Rock and Roll as we know it began, before Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis but on some parallel with Bill Haley and the Comets coming from a different direction. Elvis' first regional hit was in 1954; Lloyd Price's "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" hit in 1952. (Elvis and many others did their own versions later). My favorite is 1959's "I'm Gonna Get Married". If you buy this great collection of Lloyd's major works, you'll have a lot of good stuff from which to pick YOUR favorite."
A great collection of only the hits

"Lloyd Price is another product of New Orleans rock & roll(as was Fats Domino-who played piano on some of Lloyd's hits). If you only need his really big hits, this little collection is just the ticket. All 10 songs here are classic rock & roll. A must-have for fans of 50s rock."
