"Few bands strike big from the get-go and Llama may be another example of an excellent group ignored by the lack of promotion. This CD is excellent MOR material which is so hard to find these days. Reminiscent to Dave Matthews, Hootie & the Blowfish and Willy Porter, Llama comes across with an array of tunes colorfully mastered with electro-acoustic guitar and mandolins. Additionally, and for example, "Three White Cars", features an organ (sounds like a Hammond B-3) and old analog synth topped with an early 70's jam session. Eclectic yet conservative. Should appeal to all age groups."

"This album is great. Buy it. In case that wasn't enough to sell you...buy this because it is one of the best examples of "respectable pop" I have heard lately. That term basically means it is radio-friendly music that will appeal to the masses, yet retain credibility with the more schooled listener (no offense to the masses). It is more mature than most of today's pop. It has the potential to cross many markets, appealing to both jam band fans and top 40 listeners of all ages. Almost every song on this album has "hit potential." Incredible vocals over a bed of successfully adventurous instrumentation makes for great pop. From the melodic guitars of "Too Much Too Soon" to the Beatle-esque strings of "To Believe," this is an album you should have."
Not your typical airline tunes!

"How often do you hear a band on the cheesy airline headphones, and immediately go buy the CD upon landing? Not often. And that is what makes Llama so cool. I actually heard them by accident on a America West flight from Vegas to Jersey, and went out the next day to buy the album. Needless to say, this band rocks! Reminds me a little of Toad The Wet Sprocket and maybe even Dispatch...a must-hear!"

"Close to the Silence is now one of my favorite cds. They opened for a concert I went to, and I ended up liking them more than the band I went to see. The music not only is catchy, but the lyrics and vocals are outstanding. I guess what's so great about the album is that no song really overpowers another. Even if at first you don't like one of the songs, it will grow on you. I've been playing this album nonstop. The music is a style of it's own, but if I had to give a reference band I'd probably say Phish just because of the way it makes your head jam around to the music. And if you've seen them live, you know what I mean from watching Ben Brown."
This group's going to be huge

"I am absolutely knocked out by this album. This band is made up of guys who are all under twenty. I've seen them play and they're amazing in concert -- lots of great jamming, very together. But the album is amazing in its own right. There isn't a song on here that doesn't sound like it could be a hit. The melodies are great. Sometimes they remind me of the Moody Blues, sometimes, Led Zeppelin, sometimes Dave Matthews Band. You've got to hear them."
