"First off, I have to say I'm really picky when it comes to music, and have very few CD's in my collection that I like to listen to all the way thru. LMvol.1 with the exception of maybe one song is one of those cd's. Another thing I like about this cd is that you don't have to be in a certain mood to listen to it. For me, this cd takes me through all my mood-sets. So whether I'm feelin like some mellow beats or fast-paced rhymes, this cd addresses that nicely."
Amazing

"This CD Is filthy. It was my first living legends CD and i do not regret buying it. If you like washed up mainstream crap, leave this CD for people who appreciate it. Also, all the members are dope and unique. I love Murs who has other solo work along with the rest of them. This album opened me up to individual's solo work from the group. This album is variety. Amazing, unique beats with perfect, clever lyrics and flow. This album is amazing."

"this album cheats in that it takes the better singles from a number of individual albums and compiles them into a single cd. this benefits the consumer, gives you a little taste of each individual artist that makes up living legends and makes you want more. top to bottom one of the strongest cds i own, you know, the kind where you can actually listen to every track, not just skip the fillers."
LL crew still a step above...

"... and I apologize if I didn't always rise to occasion
I had to come of age and apply
My knowledge to my personal experiences,
If I didn't I could have died in all seriousness.
We've come far,
As a person, as a people, as a world
It's time to raise the bar.
It's not hard, just remember who you are...
It's not hard, just remember...
The last track - track 11 - is now my favorite hip hop song. If only it were longer than 3 1/2 minutes and two verses. The 2nd verse is for sure one to remember. If you're a real fan of hip hop or just music in general, please treat yourself and get this album. If you like 50 Cent and Eminem, don't bother. You're not going to hear songs about candy shops or being in da club. It's positive but not cheesy and stupid..."
