"You're young. VERRRRY young (I saw your list, babe!!) Listen again!! There are some great pop songs on this CD. Actually, I used "So The Story Goes" as an audition piece and snagged several singing jobs including a concert tour in Asia singing back up for the #1 pop star in Japan. Also the re-mix of that song contained help from the great Bobby Womack. Joel, you might say 'Bobby who?'. Another great song is the ballad "From Beginning To End". See, I'm very careful & discriminating when I give my critiques on others work (I'm mean, you actually like J-Lo's voice - Duh!!). Too many people who don't truly know music have all this negative rhetoric to share. If you can't say something good...
The only reason I'm contributing this is Joel's unfair, unaware review. Something must be done:-)
By the way: This CD, while not a culmination of all classics, is a very good collection of 80's pop. Very similar to ABC and Go West (loosely, in this case) If that's your ire, check it out!!!"

"LIAB's killer cut "Human Story" from their first, self-titled album. "From Beginning To End", which unfortunately you cannot sample on this Amazon web site now, is a funky yet touching ballad. Richard Darbyshire's vocals are tremendous. If I ever am in charge of a movie soundtrack, this guy gets commissioned to sing some new material AND I'll figure out a way to put some vintage Living In A Box material on it. This defunct band has a small but loyal following for a reason: LIAB was a tremendous mix of 80's technofunk with timeless soul and great musicianship. Buy this CD AND the VERY BEST of LIAB and sample Darbyshire's solo album elsewhere on this web site. YOu won't be disappointed -- unless, of course, you wish you had the original CD that had "Human Story" on it."

"Though I have not yet purchased the CD, the single "Living in a Box" featured CONSTANTLY in "Masters of the Universe" is GREAT. It's a lot of fun to listen to and definately a must have for 80s fans. I guess you could call this track 80s disco-dance-pop. I also have heard "Blow the House Down." These two songs make this one a great purchase; the vocals are great."
