"Although Liszt's skill on the organ was limited (due to his lack of fluency in the use of the pedals), he became involved with many great organ makers of his day. And you can tell by listening to this, that he would have been a towering figure in this genre as he was in piano.
Andreas Rothkopf has done an excellent interpretation of this, with much virtuosic ability. He seems to have been backed up by a huge room on the monumental 'Prelude and Fugue on the name of Bach' and the 'Variations on Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen and Crucifixus on Bach's Mass in B Minor', but the echo dosen't get much in the way of his performance.
I highly recomend this CD for organ-lovers; no one would ever expect such music written by a piano virtuoso."
