"Truly one of the more underappriciated artists of the past decade, Lisette Melendez' Greatest Hits is a tribute to the sound that defined an era, the days of freestyle music. After a period of time where "Freestyle" was considered a four letter word to most radio and music industry types, slowly but surely it is being discovered by both a new audience and old schoolers rediscovering a nearly forgotten genre. Lisette's voice is strong and passion filled, and offers more than her platinum, top selling counterpart, Jennifer Lopez. Her voice is a testament against the stereotype of freestyle artists as untalented, whiny voiced Boriquas pulled off the streets of the Bronx to record a substanderdly produced album. Carlos Berrios' trademark "new school" sound takes precedence here, but the album does not fully rely on it. Overall, is it an excellently produced, wonderful compilation, and I hope we are lucky enough to hear some new material by this talented, beautiful artist in the near future!"

"Lisette Melendez has a voice that just screams sex appeal. She sounds cute yet tough on her songs and to me that just makes them all the more better. You can't go wrong with this cd if you are a freestyle fan, or a fan of a female artist that actually puts feeling into her music."
