"This is Lisa Thiel's Greatest Hits album. And it contains some of her most magnetic songs. From the very first track, you'll be pulled into the mystical, Native American-styled use of her voice, the intoxicating rhythms, and the positive, uplifting Goddessy lyrics. As the tracks go on, you may learn some names of old goddesses from Europe Asia and the Americas that you'd never known before. Each of them are introduced in the course of truly compelling songs.If you have other Lisa Thiel albums (And I hope you do), then some of these tracks may be repeats since it's sort of a Greatest Hits collection. Check the song list to make sure you don't have them all already. But if you're missing even I'd say five of these tracks, you should go ahead and buy it because almost every song is a must-have.The songs that were chosen for this collection were mainly the more spirited and catchy of her works. On other albums, there will be more meditative chants. On this one, it's mainly livelier tunes (With only a couple exceptions), and the tracks are mainly ones where she's used her more stylized singing voice. It's wonderful! But you'll probably want her other more understated albums too that show off the silkiness of her voice better.If you're a Lisa Thiel fan and you're missing at least a fair number of these tracks, then you need to buy the album. No doubt. And if you're new to Lisa, then this is a pretty good album to start with. I know a lot of people for whom this was the album that got them hooked. And she's definitely a voice you want to add to your life."
