"I discovered Lisa Ono a few years ago when one of her songs was included on a compilation album. I couldn't get her sound out of her head, but I couldn't find any of her CD's here in the US. Then a few summers ago I traveled to Taiwan, where she is a big star, (via influence from Japan) and bought every Lisa Ono CD I could find. Wish she was more well known here! She has such a special, unique voice. It's straight and smooth on the surface, but underneath there are hidden depths of phrasing that create such a pleasing sound. This CD is one of my favorites. It's very clean and rhythmic, with lots of upbeat tracks that are guaranteed to make you feel happy. When I first bought the album, I played "Samba do Soho" about a hundred times and couldn't stop dancing to it! What a great song. "So Danco Samba" is one of my other favorites. The arrangements are so perfectly put together, not one note is out of place. I wish everyone could discover Lisa Ono...we are missing out on a great voice!"
