"The BEST Irish band ever, bar none, have never made it big. Why? I have no idea. This is real rock. The kind Zeppelin, Floyd, Tull and Yes played. But not only that. Lir had some of the most melodic songs I've ever heard (Good Cake, Bad Cake and Wickerman on 'Nest'). To anyone who isn't drawn in by the hype on U2, Cranberries, Enya, etc. buy this album and 'Nest'. You'll never look back. To the others..buy this album, it's an education."
Why Some Do, Some Don't?

"Here's one of those cases where the band is absolutely amazing but, as far as I'm aware, only two discs happened. Why? Why on God's good Earth do some bands make it and others not? I won't try to compare them to anyone else. I can just state categorically that this band is among the best I've ever heard...lyrical, funky, medolic, deep, elegant. A wonderful experience. If there's more than just Magico and Nest out there, please, someone, tell me. I need more."
Not as good as the solo stuff

"This band is a very good band, I completely agree. HOwever, the solo projects of many of the band (particularly David Hopkins) is better than the sum of the parts heard here. Check out his solo material, you won't be disappointed."
This album is something fresh and original.

"Lir were tipped to be the next big band from Ireland but it didn't happen. They have some wonderful songs like 'In The Parlour' and 'House of Song'. They remind me of Jamiroquoi a bit and they are great live. There aren't any bad songs on the US version but try to get your hands on a rest of the world version, it's just a bit better."
