One of my favorite CD's

"This isn't a really unique CD, or an incredibly creative one. Still though, it creates such perfect soundscapes to the lyric storys about all kinds of VU'ish sultriness. It's a very cokey record, and is filled with desperate clinging and casual insanity. Caroline Fitch's vocals are so perfectly sexy and dangerous and half there, and the guitars cut and thrust so angrily. If you like Garbage, Hole, or the Velvets you may like this."
How did this get overlooked?

"This is hot, there are five very good songs (Marquis, On A Tuesday, Restriction, Ray Liotta and Smear) that rock on out in the mode of maybe Magnapop or Letters to Cleo at their best. The female lead singer doesn't have a lot of range, pretty much spoken-voice type singing with a sneer, but it works with the music. Makes you stomp, it's great straight-forward nasty rock."
