At the time the band was a four-piece, quietly perfecting their craft behind closed doors. But by the time their debut album was released in 1996 (Moon in the Scorpio), the band had transformed to a duo (vocalist Daemon and programmer/keyboardist Morfeus). The sixth album now finds Daemon as the steadfast member, with Morfeus exiting in late 2009. This change now allows Daemon opportunity to bring forth more guitar and a more traditional black metal sound than on previous efforts thus adding an invigorating power to the twelve new songs featured on Phantasmagoria. It was Emperor/Zyklon guitarist Samoth that happened upon the formidable sounds of Limbonic Art. So impressed he immediately offered the band a recording contract via his label Nocturnal Art Productions. The band have since released five recordings via the label (in cooperation with Candlelight). The band have played one festival on US soil, alongside Zyklon at 2001's Milwaukee Metal Fest.
