"I happen to be from huston texas , where the cd was made. I lissen to lil flip and i do belive he is ne of the most astonishing artist from that area. the reason i say this is because unlike big-tymers lil flip free styles about his life. lil flip is one of the best free stylers to this day besides the late, great dj screw which also is from H-town. i have heard a couple tapes they made together and they really let you know exactly what is going on in the streets instea of saying they have this, and that when they really don't. furthermore the songs on this cd all go hard in the paint. if you have no clue about what i mean then you should'nt be listening to lil flip. i am from the area and i enjoy listening to him because i catch u on the bootlegers and all the ballers in my area. the only thing i can think of to improve the next lil flip cd is to add some of the other ballers from h-town such as Paul wall, Micheal Watts, The Mista Masta, and Big Ron. These people are from the label of SWISHA HOUSE and to me they make houston the party city it is. and if you read this lil flip i feel yo name in the grill and them candycars. and to allyall bootleggers out there you best watch yo back Keep it real Pimps playas and hustlers/"

"When Lil' Flip start going, he ain't gonna stop. He ain't the best out of Texas, I admit that; but he is one of the best for sure. The late DJ Screw gave him a Freestyle King Award so you know he got skills. This is a re-release of the last underground album he did which is why the beats sound low-budget. Eveyone doesn't have the money to make beats like Roc-A-Fella or Ruff Ryders or any of them. This is one of the best albums of 2000 with some of the best freestyles ever recorded. On the second disc, he even freestyles for over 8 minutes straight!!! If that ain't enough reason to buy the album, then I don't know what is. It's a double album, 24 tracks, worth every penny; BUY IT NOW!!! Look out for the new Lil Flip album coming soon!!!"

"Lil flip is tight. His flows are silly and he makes me laugh. He says some tight stuff and he has talent. Some of his beats are plain weak. But if he just came with some stronger beats he would be tight. The people he has on his cd are weak at times. He has some sorry little kid on there and some people who just cant flow. I know you need to stay true to your people but if they (stink)they (stink). Lil flip has some weak cuts but the tight ones are an shining example of his talent. You like the south, pick this up."

"Good solid album, I can do dat, has gotten a lot of spin....but other tracks are as good if not better. If you like Lil Flip, I gotta recommend the album Southern Slang by D.O.W.N., this has Lil Flip on track called DOWN and tha Clover, which really displays this artists versatility....the Album Southern Slang merits 5 stars and Flip's outstanding."
