Wist | Phoenix, AZ USA | 05/16/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "This overlooked gem contains intimate session work with funny banter and some absolutely incendiary guitar work all recorded straight through. Just Lightnin' - a stool, a cigarette and a guitar - feels like you're right there. Not the greatest sound quaity - not bad either - in fact just right. Some of this material has been released on "Lightnin' Strikes Twice" and "Lost Texas Tapes Volume 1". Some may feel that the former is a better value (the latter became part of the former). I disagree - sometimes less is more and that rings true here. I own a whole stackfull of LP's, tapes and CD's of Mr. Hopkins - this is one of my favorites - never get tired of it!"
