"While the music on this disc is stellar , These sessions seem to have been bootlegged around quite a bit over the years ..I have a 9 tune weird cassette on a "Golden Circle" Records , and this seems to be the same stuff ..except the cassette sounds better . I just discovered that a 17 track disc (2 more tunes than on here ) is available under the title 'King of The Texas Blues' .. on Acrobat . The fidelity tho' only played through my computer from the Amazon site ..seems to be very ,very good . I just ordered a copy, for myself . There are some rockin' tracks here from Lightnin , both solo , and with a rhythm section; Earl Palmer on drums , and Jimmy Bond on bass , also a cool trombone (!!) on some tracks that enhance and do not marr this superb session in any way . I like this disc .. it's a bit of a rocker , and Lightnin is in an upbeat mood here ."
