Highly Energized, Thought-Provoking Electronic Music

"English electronic musician Robert Fox's fifth album is his best to date. Using his signature symphonic style as a framework, Fox incorporates new elements (Native American style voices, young English girls reading their poetry) into this seamless and powerful work. These new elements enhance but never detract from Fox's mission of achieving cohesive music storytelling. This album is much harder-driving and rhythmic than his past works; in fact, many of the tracks will appeal to progressive rockers. This is not ambient music nor is it pure new age. Space music influences are always present ("Shadowedland" is a prime example") but rock and rhythms ("Paths of Change" and "Somewhere Out There") rule this time out. The voices of the girls and their poetic readings over Fox's powerful music is unreal. Whereas prior Fox albums had a couple of songs that stood out from the rest, this album is chock full of melodic wonders. My favorite track is "Lights..pictures..sensations." Highly recommended and quite memorable."
