"The Norwegian chamber choir Grex Vocalis has what it takes. Their treatment of Poulenc is exceptional. In this release of "Liberté", they and their conductor Carl Høgset have given impassioned life to some of the greatest choral works of the 20th century. The choir's intonation is exemplary, their tone polished and tough as nails. Poulenc's personal idiom and the poetry of Paul Eluard have intensity and poignancy into which Grex Vocalis taps unashamedly. We are the better for it."
