"I'm a blues lover from way back, so when I discovered Lew's "I Been Cheated" on XM Satellite Radio on the Bluesville station, I immediately began my research on him. I ordered his two cd's and that's all I've been listening to for the last week. If you're as hungry for good blues as I am, then this man and his band will surely satisfy your appetite. 61 South is as tight a band as I've ever heard, and each track on each cd is distinctly different while all being tied together with an awesome thread of gritty, ballsy blues. Lew's vocals are so unique and so riviting that I have difficulty deciding on whether to focus on his singing or on the incredible musical ability of the guitar work or on the 'whole package'. In any case, it's a treat and it's addictive. The track "Tattoo Blues" makes me want to go out and get one! I can't stay still while listening to the faster songs, and the slower tunes are soulful and packed with all the ingredients necessary for classic blues. But, don't take my word for it. Get a copy of this one and his first cd "State Line Blues" and pake a wisten."
