"Last night (6/10/2004) at the end of the Larry King show, there was a beautiful tribute to the relationship of Ron and Nancy Reagan. The music sung in the background was "In this Room", by Leslie Tucker. It was sung by Shawn Southwick-King, Larry's wife. This one song is an indicator of the depth and quality of the entire album. The one big difference is that Leslie's voice is much different, and I believe, much better than Shawn's. Do yourself a favor and buy this album, and tell your friends. It is extraordinary!"

"After hearing "In This Room" sung on CNN during a tribute to the late President Ronald Reagan, I searched the web for the origin. Luckily, I stumbled on an Amazon review of Leslie Tucker's CD by the same name that provided me with information on this talented artist. My CD arrived today. Ms. Tucker's voice is sweet and mellow and her lyrics are hauntingly beautiful. This CD is a perfect combination of upbeat tempos and sweet slow songs. Leslie Tucker could easily blow some of today's chart toppers off the chart with songs like "Fire of Loneliness", "Jessie" "Isn't Everything Enough" and the most beautiful of all "In This Room". Thank you Leslie for this outstanding collection of music. You are a talent worth listening to!"

"I couldn't be more pleased to have discovered this exceptional singer/songwriter, after hearing her beautiful song in a tribute to the late Ronald Reagan on CNN's Larry King Show. She has the most beautiful, clear, melodic voice I've heard in a long time. I can't believe this album came out in 1995, and I'm just now discovering it. I would call her a combination folk/soft country singer, with just a touch of toe tapping songs (2)on this CD. Where has she been hiding? I emailed CNN, not even knowing the name of the song, and they actually emailed me back with the title of the album, the name of the artist, and advising me that Shawn King, wife of Larry King actually performed the song on Larry King's show. She was very good also, but I don't think she stacked up to Miss Tucker. You absolutely can't go wrong with this CD!!"
Overlooked Gem

"Leslie Tucker's "In This Room" is an overlooked gem. Her voice is expressive and sweet. Her songwriting is also excellent and consistent throughout this set. She has a knack for taking some of our most universally shared feelings and setting them lyrically in a unique musical setting. In "River Canyon" she sings, "In time the river smoothes edges once so rough the way love softens places in the heart." I have two favorites on the set. The first is the slow "Jessie (Going Through)" that reflects on the experiences a child goes through when their parents divorce and how they carry those feelings with them into adulthood. Her melody is gorgeous and distinctive. On "One Step at a Time" she gets a beat going with another beautifully unique melody, "We'll climb & go higher, higher, oh, and the sun goes down on the valley below." Tucker alternates between slow melodic tunes and midtempo toe tappers. This is a sweet folk gem you will not want to miss! Enjoy!"
