Rarities is the word...

"We loved this very interesting compilation of Oubradous.

As a key musician in France and in many other countries during the 20th century, he deserved such an "homage".

The quality of recordings is excellent, the choice is a pleasure. Especially his "Histoire du Soldat" (Stravinsky) is a masterpiece.

One should remember the debate on whether Fernand Oubradous - then a bassoonist only - or his father (François Oubradous) played for the very first time Stravinsky's Firebird...

Our opinion is that Oubradous conducted Stravinsky much better than Stravinsky himself!"
