"Les and Larry Elgart became popular when big bands were ebbing out of existence. The cost of moving 20 people across the country, and paying them became cost prohibitive. Also the advent of electronic music making, giutars and plug in instruments, brought very loud music to the scene at this time, ala rock and roll. This album shows off what was unique about the Elgarts. They had a way with tight horn sounds, sweet melodies, and short solos. Their big band best of is a 5 plus star rated cd also, I believe. If you like big bands and the ensemble sound of this type of music, then try out this album."
Another fine two-fer from the Elgarts!

"The people at Collectibles have to be commended for providing CD fans with music that we can still enjoy in the 21st century. This two-fer with Les and Larry Elgart from 1959 are a pleasure to listen and to dance to. The band presents a clear sound with their horns and saxaphones. If you want the best in band music it's got to be the Brothers Elgart, Les and Larry!"
