Daugherty | Salinas to NYC to El Paso | 05/14/2009 (4 out of 5 stars) "Been waitin' fer a very long time for this and it's predecessor to come out on disc. I played piano as a kid, so was always big into Leon. Saw him several times in NYC area; first with Delaney and Bonnie, next at Concert for Bangladesh (the first show where Dylan was a surprise), next at two shows of Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour, and finally on his own Shelter People tour. Leon and Mary's "Wedding Album" is one of my all time favs. Wonderful songs done in her sweet and his sour voices. "Make Love to the Music" followed a year later. The songs aren't quite as good and a little of the production seemed to have fallen off, but it is still a great album."
