"I remember when I was 16 or 17 when I first heard "I was made for dancing" and I got hooked with the tune but never knew the title to the song and at that time I was having my own troubles and growing pains to have the opportunity to go out and get it. I am now older and wiser and got the golden chance to to see the moving interview of VHI's "Behind the Music". It was a real shame that the big shots
did not give him the chance to break out in rock tunes and made him
the puppet of how the music market moves. In essence the used him up and spit him out like they do a lot of the child actors. Holliwood is certainly more than a sleazy town, it's also a life taker in many forms. Hey I know that he should have gotten a band together and break away from the tight grip of the record labels but what can u do when you are a minor!? His interview really moved a lot of ppl from looking around in the internet. Leif has always been special even after he made some terrible mistakes. He has now moved on with his life. He has many fans that adore him and I do hope that he will always know that and that all that he is expected to do is to take care of himself. My hats of to a guy that has immersed himself into downward spiral of self destruction and go on national TV to admitt to all his errors. God be with him."
Leif Garrett did it for me.

"I have always loved Leif Garrett and will always have a special place in my heart for him. I know every one of his songs and with the samples, I was singing right along. I did have all of his albums but over the years they were damaged. If you loved him then, you'll love him now. With his music of yesteryear, he probably won't receive a music award, but just to have the music that was a part of your life growing up as I did just somehow comforts you. I enjoy it just as much today as I did then. I still hope one day to meet him. Try not to be too hard on someone that the industry just wanted to get every dime out of and as much as they could. If Leif meant something to you, then just enjoy. If not, then go visit Shaun Cassidy's collection."

"Talk about childhood memories, my room was totally decorated with Leif. We used to act like he was chasing us. He grew up right along side of me, I still have his old casette, it's pretty worn out but still going strong. Good Luck to you Leif I hope you beat the monkey."

"I was so thankful to discover that there was finally a re-release of Leif Garrett songs, that would have otherwise been so hard to find in the current market. I can finally stop trying to listen to my original 45 single of "I Was Made for Dancin'" from 1979, which suffers from skips and scratches from playing it SO much over the years. I am disappointed that the B side of "I Was Made for Dancin'", called "Livin Without Your Love" wasn't also included in the collection. That song made me swoon in delight as a little girl. Rock on Leif, you were such a cutie, and I still think you are super cool!!!!!!!!"
