"Singer Edward Ka-Spel personally assembled this collection of tracks for the Russian label Brudenia; it is by no means a best-of. Rather it combines older tracks which struck him on that particular day as having meaning, and a couple of otherwise unreleased tracks from the most recent (read: 1998/99) version of the band. I rather prefer that it is not in fact a best-of, that the tracks are an eclectic mix of Edward's personal favorites going back to the late 80s and early 90s, longer numbers not so reliant on song structure such as "The Golden Age" (which used to be twice as long in 1988 shows). One of my better experiences with him, in the early 90s, was finding out that he had revived an ancient throwaway tune, "Surprise, Surprise" as an encore number. He does cool things like that. Anyway, watch the Brudenia label for more labors of love like the one which produced this CD."
