"Alright! So, this year we have releases from Left Alone, Anti-Flag, NOFX, and Rancid...let's start off with that. So far Left Alone and NOFX are released. But, this review is for the new LEFT ALONE self titled... their third on Tim Armstrong's Hellcat Records.
If anyone reading this has their two other discs ("Lonely Starts and Broken Hearts", "Dead American Radio"), and you like them, then you're in for a treat. This is WITHOUT A DOUBT Left Alone's best album yet. Now, I dig "Dead American Radio" a lot, there's a lot of great songs on there. But after that release, Elvis Cortez apparently went on a vacation and started fresh, so to speak. He's the only member in the band that is original, but don't let that stop you guys. This is the best the music has been on any of the albums! And I'd like to give props to Elvis Cortez for the great lyrics as well.
An absolutely flawless disc with catchy as Hell songs, and the perfect combination of punk with some dash of ska thrown in for good measure. Not a boring song on here! Even the intermission is pretty cool to listen to before it kicks into another great song.
So if you're a general fan of anything on Hellcat, and like punk with some ska, definitely pick this up. You won't be disappointed!"
