CD ReviewsLee in great form Peter Durward Harris | Leicester England | 04/26/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "This 1991 album opens with So close, a fine ballad that sets the mood of the album. The tempo picks up slightly for the title track, a bright mid-tempo song. Next come the country hits, If you'll let this fool back in, a wonderful ballad, and Between a rock and a heartache, a mid-tempo song about the impending end of a relationship. Lee reminisces about loves of long ago in the next two songs, She holds the key (a ballad) and Rain (a mid-tempo song). Then come three more excellent ballads - Common kindness, You and me and the moon, Somebody's gotta take a fall. The final track, Monday all week long, is an amusing up-tempo song about a bad week in which everything went wrong. Being so different from the rest of the album, it is the track that I most remember this album for. This is an album that Lee's fans will enjoy. His popularity was past its peak but his music was as good as ever.TracksSo close
