Little-known Classic

"This album is reminiscent of some of the best classic Southern Rock, but LeRoux also has their own special flavor, like most everything in their home state. The album has one song that is worth the purchase price alone - - "New Orleans Ladies". Even if you've never been to New Orleans, you can see the lazy sway of these mysterious women as "they sashay by, they sashay by..." If you have been to that other-land that is the French Quarter, the legendary Vieux Carre, you'll be aching to return. The lyrics are poetic yet uncontrived, as in "they hold you like the night holds a chill when this cold wind's blowin'". "Take a Ride on a Riverboat" has a funky feel, while "Can't Do One More Two-Step" will have you wishing you could. The harmonies are blended together like a rich, dark Creole roux. One tasted, you'll never be able to get enough!"

"I am fortunate enough to own the original album and recently picked up a spare at a thrift store. My record player bit the dust, so I am thrilled to finally find the CD. This is a very underrated group, and it amazed me they didn't have more than this one hit. Take a Ride on a Riverboat is still one of my favorites as is the eternal "New Orleans Ladies". Anyone who likes Southern Rock, with a hint of jazz added to it, will enjoy this album. ..."

"This remix of the original is terrible. It sounds like the bass is clipping similar to trying to play it through an old pocket radio. My original analog cassette sounds better. My advise to all of you is to try and find an old Album or cassette and transfer it to a CD."
Awesome!

"I have long been a LeRoux fan, and was devastated not to be able to find a CD; I'd had an OLD 8-track that was damaged and could not record it to a CD. I'd given up on ever having one, and this one is great quality, made me feel I was back in time at a concert (though it's not a concert recording). Again, great quality, just as though it's just been recorded for the first time ever!!!!"
