Manic Morricone

"If you like dissonant, atonal,
spooky, creepy, scary orchestrations,
then you will love this recording.
I do.
I noticed brief similarities to John Carpenter,
Black Sabbath (!) and Claudio Simonetti
in the compositions.
I have only listened to it once at this writing
and that while working on the computer,
so they must have been obvious enough to
alert me to their presence.
Don't misunderstand me,
this is pure Morricone.
There is even some of his
signature weird female la-la-la vocals.
These two soundtracks are well paired.
I have not seen either film.
The score seems appropriate given
the description of the plots.
Not everyone likes this type of music,
but for those who do,
this is as good as it gets.
