CD Reviews

Another pretty good album from Layzie
G$ | B-More, MD | 11/07/2006
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Layzie is back with the 4th album he's been a part of in the past 7 months (taking after Bizzy Bone), and like Bizzy, the quality has made way for quantity. Better then his "It's not a Game" and about equal with his "Thug By Nature" as well as his collaborations with Bizzy "Bone Brothers" and with Young Noble of the Outlawz, "Thug Brothers". Coming out just 7 months after his "Thug Brothers", 2 months after his lowly rated "New Revolution" (which I don't think I'm picking up), and 1 month after teh Bone "Thug Stories" album, the timing wasn't right, but the album is prettty good, don't get me wrong. With 18 songs, guests rap on half and he introduces Killa Klump (who sounds like Jadakiss with little skills). Of teh 18 songs, 10 are good ( a couple real good) and the otehr 8 are ok. Production is decent and no production credits are noted. A good album for his fans but I still think his better work is with the group.
