"this album is what got me really excited about Laurent Garnier. i really find it odd that the traxs on this CD aren't more popular as almost all of them are stellar here a track by track track1.Butterfly . is a wonderfully sci-fi sounding chill out dub track really rolling sounds alot like b12's work.. with little bleeps and beeps moving every where till it unleashes a wonderfull house beat. very moving track . more home oriented than dancefloor.. but still moves your body track2. astral dreams . starts off with a mechanic tink sound and some pretty cliche clapping but turns into a great almost old school daft punk house beat. this one really bangs on tyhe sub .. not so much the headphones .. but the rolling melody really keeps you interested .. almost puts you into a trance reminds me alot of crispy bacon. it just keeps getting grittier and louder untill it eneds with some echostrack3.rex attitude .. is a mad dance track i wish i had this on vinyl. it really has a great moving sound .. and the beat is evil another early crispy bacon type track . it ends with a very different vibe than it starts .. tres tres cool track4. rising spirit is another home track very relaxing and beatiful almost ambient but with a pattern of sound that eventually lead into rythems kinda like aphex twins ambient works .. track 5.orgasm -heh the title gives it away pretty much its a track that builds and drops .. and has a great vocal track its made for the dance floor .. and kinda has a cool organ loop .. its a funny dance track again i wish i had this in my collectiontrack6. detroit (remix)-this is very b12ish .. its hard to explain the sound if you haven't heard it .. just that this track rolls wonderfully into the next sounds .. very cool .. not a dance floortrack and home tracktrack7. ranchando O bico -very different from the last couple songs it has that building harsh early daft punkish noise but in an off rythem thats fun to listen to .. and then builds into something with more of a steady beattrack8.dance to the music (remix)( this is one of those tracks that completely suprises you when you first hear it .. starting with a blaring raceing air noise .and some random bleeps and stuff and turning into a very relaxing beat drivin track with great chordstrack9. aquarius - another great relaxing bleeps and beeps filled track .. lovely hums and chords .. and even some claps and beats to get you through the whole song peacfully ..track 10 pigalle .. a very good track to finish off a great album a building track with louder and louder moaning ... sounds like the guys getting off .. and with good reason .. Overall laurent manages to build beatuiful tracks with out falling into the huge sample heavy repetitiveness of his peers and remaining some what danceable at the same time. over shadowed by acts such as aphex twin and suqare pusher in the IDM relm and daft punk, and a ton of non producing dj's in the dance relm .. laurent falls in the cracks .. and deserves more recognition than he's getting .. hopefully his new album will change that"
