"Steve Hoffman did another excellent job with this one. I've been a Laura Nyro fan since the late 70s, and I've never heard these songs sound so good. Blows the socks off any previous version."

"The CD arrived today and I must say I am disappointed. Though the sonics might be somewhat better than previous versions, it still has a flat, harsh, tinny, compressed sound. It's like am radio- OK for the car, but difficult to listen to on a decent audio system.

This is all the more disappointing because Nyro was such a huge and original talent.

I spend a lot of time listening to music. I have no problem paying a higher price if there is a commensurate increase in sound quality. Unfortunately, I don't think you are getting your money's worth with this disc.
