CD Reviews

Laura Dawn Rocks!
Melissa Minkalis | Chicago, IL | 03/21/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Laura Dawn's album "Believer" has so much diversity in styles on it. If you're having a bad day and need a song to relate to, there's definitely "So Small" or "The Old You." If you're angry, there's "Party Girl." If you're happy, there's "Delicious" and "Wasted." Laura uses a lot of diverse styles in these songs that range from punk in "The Old You" to acoustic in "Useless in LA." I never get tired of the CD and there's always a song to fit my mood. Buy it! You won't regret it! I also saw her in concert and would recommend that experience too! She's great!"

"Laura Dawn completely rocks!! Every Song on her CD is great from acoustic pop to hard rock to punk and the variety keeps it completely interesting from beginning to end. Influences range from PJ Harvey, Liz Phair, Garbage, Alanis, Breeders, Veruca Salt, Smashing Pumpkins but a different cool combo of all the above. Buy the CD if you're sick of hearing the same old garbage, you won't be dissappointed."
For those with taste in music

"I usually don't write rewiews, but since I saw the lack of reviews here, I felt compelled. This has to be one of my favorite albums this year. Recommended to me by a friend, I was instantly drawn into Dawn's wonderful lyrics and powerful pop-punk music. I recommend this to anyone who wants to listen to good music with great lyrics, especially those who are sick of what they play on the radio."
