""Last Days" marked the 1st Abyssinians album in over a decade, released in the early '90s. Internal problems common to many groups had split the group up by the end of the 1970's, but it appears that things were on the up and up by the end of the 80's and this seminal roots reggae trio was ready to record again. The results are wonderful indeed. Spearheaded by the hit singles "Swing Low," and "African Princess," "Last Days" marked a triumphant return to form for the trio, blending, as always, their songs about Jah and spiritualism- "Jahovah," and "Swing Low," with their songs of social commentary "When You're Down," "Soon We'll Be Free." Also of note is their touching tribute to Bob Marley, "Jah Marley."With great songs punctuated by their trademark harmonies, the Abyssinians' "Last Days" is a great listen, and well worth the long wait they gave their devoted fans."
