"While largely unknown among the American Mainstream, Laser Dance has made some of the best 80s dance music I've heard coming out of Europe (the duo is Dutch-based).
The 11 songs, all instrumental would have fit well with the American & UK produced Hi-NRG music of this time period. In fact, their early work like Laser Dance 88, & Future Generation sound like something that the late Patrick Cowley could have done in the early 1980s. Also, the fact that they continue to use this music style well into the early 1990s, despite Hi-NRG & Italodisco both being replaced by house music in the clubs.
Save Humanoid Invasion, & Future Generation, the songs are 12" versions, & as great as these songs are for dancing, some run out of stream after a while like Shotgun (Into the Night) while others like Powerrun, the wrong version's on here. (the Vocoder version is more danceable. The version here is totally instrumental)
Still, this is a very good collection that's worth adding to your collection if you enjoy 1980s dance music or so-called spacesynth.
