Hauntingly Remembered Song

"The Last Wild Place Anthology
Have enjoyed hearing the entire album, but purchased this CD because I remembered one of the songs from 13 years ago: She Could Run. I was asleep and had the TV on, when Lacy J. Dalton was on one of the late night talk shows. The refrain from this song stuck in my mind for all of these years: "she could run, run, run".
When I saw that the balance of the CD followed the same theme, it's one that I had to have; and have enjoyed it since I received it. I generally listen to country, but this has a blend of country and folk that mixes well. Another song that is great for her voice and style is "Black Coffee". Am sure it's been out by many others, but this is a great version!"
"When you think you've reached the end..."

""you will find it is just the beginning." This is how she ends the song, "Listen to the Wind." This is a wonderful collection of Lacy J. Dalton's songs, which I've just recently discovered. True voice, wonderful music. She speaks to me, to all of us."

"Normally I don't like singers re-recording their hit singles (especially more than 20 years later) but "Black Coffee", "16th Avenue", "Crazy Blue Eyes", "Takin' It Easy" and "Everyone Makes Mistakes" on this CD are mellower, a little bit slower and to my ears a whole lot better.
"Listen to the Wind" is just wonderful, a great lead-in to a beautiful album, there isn't a bad track on the whole CD.
At 60 years of age when she recorded this CD, gone is some of the grit from her voice, but it still is distinctively Lacy J Dalton.
I own 5 of Lacy J Dalton's CDs and I think this is the one that I will be playing the most."
