"I bought this tape on a trip to Nepal. It simply blows ones mind listening to the soothing melodies. Winter in austria is according to me the most perfectly composed pieces in this totally absorbing album. a must for all LS fans. Nothing can beat this!!!!"

"It would be very hard for me to rate any album of Dr Subramaniam's, or his brother L Shankar's, less than 5 stars. This one is so varied in its elements of world music, that you get a free ride for free, around the world. Fifteen dollars is peanuts for musical ecstasy!"

"This is definitely a mind blowing masterpiece by Dr.L.subramaniam.Spanish Wave is just too enthralling to describe.Another favourite number is dancing beauty.I have another tape by "L.subramaniam" Titled "East meets West" which was recorded Live at a concert in New Delhi feauturing most of the numbers in this album. But, I always felt "Conversations" was the best Fusion Album by L.subramaniam and the best I have listened to so far(and that includes all artistes). But this album doesn't lag too far behind and definitely, a must for L.subramaniam and Fusion music fans."
About Spanish Wave

"1983 Good year for album shopping for me. This was one of my favorites. It was still quite a new thing then, but this is still today very nice. Tom scott's work on the lyricon (wind operated synthesiser) sounds like a keyboard synth but on closer listen you can tell that its different. It is used on 3 of the tracks. On 7th heaven there is solo trading all over the place and even a man scatting to sound as the percussion, trading with the drums, imitating them and moving from left speaker to right. One thing about the album that gives interest is the odd metered times and the heavy middle eastern flavor. The melodies remind me of classical indian music, but there are quite a few different styles in there with it too. Definately some spanish."
