"Layzie Bone did pretty good. He got a lot of hott tracks on this CD, but then there's some flaws in it. The one thing I liked about this album is the production. He had great production. Another thing I like is the intro. It got perhaps one of the hottest intros I ever heard before. The third thing I like about the album, is that between all the Bone singles, Layzie's sounds more like a Bone album. Now the tracks:1. Carole of the Bones: Hott intro. One of the best parts of the Album 2. Battlefield: Just Hott!! A killah beat. L-Burna ripped this song. (( He should've added me to this song. lol. )) 3. Connectin the Plot: I'm not a big WC fan, but this song was chillin. Somethin you should be blastin while you going down the street or somethin. 4. Fear No Man: For some reason I didn't like this song. 5. Time Will Tell: This is one of my favorites. Dekumpozed should of been involved a little more in this song, but this track was still hott. (4th Favorite) 6. (skit) nothing big 7. How Long Will It Last: This is also one of my top favoites (3rd. Favorite)It kind of songs like Frontline Warriors (The Collection Vol. 2) with Layzie doing the background vocals instead of Big B. But they both hott. 8. Dead Musical: Great song. It gotta raw beat to it which I like. Overall, I say this is one of the best songs on the album. 9. ((another skit)) this skit could go well with the next song for a video. 10. There They Go: ((My favorite)) This right here to me is the best song on the album because it's my favorite. The beat is nice. Layzie did his thing. Aaron Hall killed it on the vocal side. He got a little out of hand there but that's what made this track here hott~!! 11. My Ni**az: The hottest beat on this album has to be this one. If this song were longer, itbe the best track on the album. 12. Still the Greatest: At first I didn't get the chorus, but they used Muhammed Ali catch phrases. anywayz, Big Chan ripped it. Layzie did his thing as usual. And Flesh was Flesh. 13. Make My Day: Layzie did a great job on this song. He murdered that beat. 14. Lock-n-Load: The chorus was nice. Layzie did a superb job on this track. He should've featured somebody else like Ken Dawg or Felecia on this track to make it even better. 15. Up Against the Wall: This is a party joint right here. one of the best songs on the album. 16. Thug By Nature: My 2nd favorite song on the album. This song right here is the best song off his album. the beat is hott. Layzie did an excellent job with his lyrics and everything. This is a type of song I listen to when im not in a good mood, this chills me out. 17. Smoke On: The worst smoking song that anybody from Bone ever did. This was the only song I really didn't like. 18. Listen: Great production. The chorus was ok 19. As the Rain: This is a cheerful song. It brings you up when you down. Overall: L-Burna is a success."

"While this is Layzie Bone's (call him L-Burna if you want, but he'll always be Layzie to me) first official solo album, 'Mo Thugs III: The Mothership' was basically a solo effort for Layzie. But, anyways, "Thug By Nature" is a solid outting for the Cleveland native. The opening track "Carole of the Bones" is a great intro. It samples the Christmas classic "Carole of the Bells", I just wish Layzie would have had it as a whole track instead of just an intro. The second track "Battlefield" is also a great song showcasing Layzie's ability to change the pace of his raps. The production on the album is average, many of the tracks sound a lot alike. A DJ U-Neek track would have been nice. In the end, "Thug By Nature" is a good album, but true fans will feel awkward listening to that much Layzie without any of his Bone, Thugs compadres (Flesh does appear on one track). But keep your head up Bone fans. This is the year of Bone. Four solo albums (Bizzy, Layzie, Krayzie, Wish) and one group effort are slated to drop this year. I don't know about you, but I'm look forward to each album."

"When i heard layzie was going to release a solo album I knew it would be off the hook because every other bone thugs solo albums that came out before his were excellent and based on that fact I knew it would be great and I was right from the beginning to the end I was engrossed by the lyrics and beats. I don't care about anything negative said about this album because to me it's an extraordinary solo debut and if you a bone thugs-n-harmony fan I would highly reccomend this album to you. Bone thugs-n-harmony are still proving they are as good on the solo tip as they are as a group and this album shows why."

"This is not a bad album. Im not one of those people who write a review on here trying to act hardcore "dis was da bomb, ya heard me".... that is just stupid. So Im gonna write this review for you can understand it. This is L-Burna AKA Layzie Bones debut album. There has been a lot of "drama" lately with the status of Bone Thugs (are they together? are they not? is Bizzy leaving? etc.) so I really didn't know what to expect from this album. After the "Heavenz Movie" solo album from Bizzy Bone (which I thought was decent but far from great) and the "Thug Mentality" solo album from Krayzie Bone (which I thought was a fantastic album) I wasnt to sure what Layzie was gonna do. Well after listening to this album here is what I have to say...... I definantly NOT disappointed. This album is FAR from being a classic and it is FAR from being flawless but it does have a good amount of tracks that I really like and it does have Layzie in the same form he raps with when he is with Bone Thugs. I was kinda worried that Layzie would try and come with some new flow like Bizzy periodically did on "Heavenz Movie" and because he is now "L-Burna", but it is the same old Layzie Bone on this album and if youre a Bone Thugs fan like me then that is a GOOD thing. The intro is pretty cool the way it kind of re-assures us that Bone Thugs is still as strong as ever. the songs "Make My day", "How Long Will It LAst", "My N****z", "Thug By Nature", "Listen" and "As The Rain" are all tracks that I feel are VERY above average. The #1 thing I like about this album is that there arent any of those tracks where you just thing to yourself "god, this is a horrible song", but on the same note there arent any of those tracks that really blow you away either. In my opinion each song on this album would rate somewhere between 4 and 8 on a 1-10 scale. And with that being said this album would average out to about a 6 1/2 which makes it above average. So all in all, if you are a Bone Thugs fan this album is a must. If you arent really into Bone I would preview it before buying. This isnt one of those albums that you listen to once or twice and then throw on the shelf, but it isnt one of those albums that doesnt leave the cd player for 6 months straight either. This is a GOOD album, but it is not a GREAT album..... I do enjoy listening to it, but I wouldnt consider it a classic. (check out Bizzy's new opne "the Gift" if you are looking for a GREAT album)"

"There are mixed reviews for this cd. Personally i think it is ill. Im not really a fan of bizzy bone, hes ok but doesnt compare to krayzie and layzie. Layzie here gives us some of the Bone Thug sound we'd expect but also throws in things you would not hear on a bone thug cd, and does a good job. Tracks like Make My Day and Connectin' The Plots with tha underrated WC i think are really ill. He also throws at us things which we COULD hear on a bone thugs cd like As The Rain which is another hot track and Still The Greatest. Basically every song on this cd you can say its between ok and real good, no song leaves you saying..what is this?? and thats good. This cd is above average, one thing i would have liked to seen was an appearance by krayzie bone but what are ya gonna do?"
