K�paoa - a permeating fragrance that infuses the heart. Nearly 10 years ago, Hawaiian music's only married duet chose that name, hoping their music would similarly imbue the hearts of listeners everywhere. The metaphor proved an apt one, as their music has indeed lingered with a growing local and international fan base. The award-winning duo released full-length albums worldwide in 2008, 2010 and March of 2013, each of them building on the prior release and together producing an anthology of unique acoustic arrangements and memorable original compositions. Every song that K�paoa records has a story and this collection includes 7 of the pair's most poignant and cherished pieces. Many of these carefully chosen gems are never-before recorded originals with the notable exception of the title track, I Know You By Heart. The remaining songs were either penned by the couple or by close friends, including multi-award winning composer, Dr. Puakea Nogelmeier. As K�paoa has matured, the intimacy shared in their music has deepened. They have blossomed, sharing more of their essence through song and story while allowing their music to become a reflection of themselves.
