"Kool G Rap's "Greatest Hits" (2002) is an album to have. I missed G Rap's era and only really started listening to him with the Giancana Story, quality music speaks for itself and Kool G Rap is a legend. Guest appearances come from Nas and Freddie Foxxx, and the majority of tracks come from 1988-1992 period. "It's a Demo" (1986) strong starts things off and is followed up by "Rikers Island", a track where Kool G rap talks to the young thugs about crime and jail. Its a sick track, favourite part is the chorus which I first heard on a Noreaga album. Kool G Rap disses the girl he hates on "Truly Yours", an entertaining and funny track. Next couple tracks are decent, then Kool G Rap rips up "Road to Riches", a track where he talks about street life, drug dealing, murder, and his ambitions. "Streets of New York" is a similar equally ill cut where G Rap talks about ghetto life, backed by some addictive beats. Kool G Rap reps himself confidently and tears into wack MC's on "Money in the Bank" and "Bad to the Bone". The next tracks name speaks for itself "Ill Street Blues" is another excellent track. The albums last track's come from Kool G Raps 1995 album "4, 5, 6". "Fast Life" with Nas is a very memorable collabration, Queen's illest collabrate toghether on this gem delivering an outstanding track. Kool G Rap closes the album off with powerfully with "For Da Brothaz" a track about looking out for your boys which is also dedicated to those who have died. After listening to this I can how his music and style have influenced alot of MC's. Kool G Rap is an underappreciated rapper, highly recommend this release for the collection."

"Kool G Rap is one of the most slept on emcees around. He was years ahead of his time and brought so much to the game. It's easy to see his influence everywhere on the hip-hop airwaves today. This CD is chock-full of great songs... not a single bad song on the disc.

4. Butcher Shop - An Homage to DJ Polo 10/10

5. Talk Like Sex - bragging about his sexual prowess; hilarious! "Get a Grip on your headboard and hold on to it, or get sent right through it" 10/10

6. Poison - excellent speed battle rap 9/10

7. Road to the Riches - Street life in Queens 10/10

8. Streets of New York - More street life, Jazz style 9/10

9. Money in the Bank - f/ Freddie Foxxx, Anton, Large Professor - good posse cut 8/10

10. Bad to the Bone - Great high intensity beats; he's talking about his bling before blinging was even a concept in mainstream America. 10/10

11. Ill Street Blues - More street life with sick flows 10/10

12. Letters - "My rhymes are like a 9mm beretta / `Cause anything rappers can do yo I can do it better." Without a doubt, skills from A to Z. 10/10

13. Fast Life - f/ Nas - 2 great emcees spitting beautiful flow 10/10

14. For da Brothaz - token in memoriam track 9/10
