"This CD of chamber works features the pianist Jeno Jando as the uniting element between the three works presented. A dream program! The Haydn "LARK" QUARTET, the Mozart QUINTET FOR PIANO AND WINDS, the Schumann QUINTET IN E FLAT MAJOR. All three are very well played and very well recorded. The Schumann perhaps a little too laid-back for my taste (compare with the version featuring Glenn Gould). The presence one feels here is almost palpable... the music sings for the young and the young at heart. This is a delight from start to finish. A lot of the credit goes to the Kodaly Quartet, first prize winners at the 1968 Leo Weiner Quartet Competition in Budapest. A gem."
