"I am not normally a gospel music fan. I bought this album after hearing the sound track to "O Brother Where Art Thou" that featured "I'll Fly Away" by the Cox Family and Allison Krauss. I am now hunting down all I can find. The vocals are bell ringing. The instrumental work is world class. I think that "The Far Side Bank of Jordan" is worth the price of the entire CD. This entire CD is superior work that is a must have. No Prozac or Zoloff will lift your spirits as much as this single CD."

"Alison Krauss could have stayed with the Cox Family for the rest of her career and not sold herself one inch short. She and the band are one, seamless, adding to each other, not one of them ahead of the next. I don't know what you call the intangible quality captured here, but I sure recognized it when I heard it, and I bet you will, too. My favorite song is Far Side Bank of Jordan; I look forward to it every time I listen, as I happily endure all of the amazing songs the come before, and after, it. This is powerful, rich, reassuring music that's full of longing and belief. I've been searching for it -- and the unformed feeling it conjures up -- since I was a kid. If this disk doesn't make you feel God, nothing likely will. While I haven't been to communion in about 20 years, if they'd been singing these tunes on Sunday mornings, I bet I'd still be going to church every week."

"I Know Who Holds Tommorrow will go down as one of the classic country/bluegrass/gospel albums. Allison Krauss and the Cox family singers remind us what gospel music is about. It's about the delicate harmonies, subtle shadings, and clean sounds that make shiver run down your spine. "Will there be any stars" has also been a classic gospel standard and this recording gives it a fresh new feel. Willard Cox rendition of "Far Side Bank of Jordan" is an absolute tear jeaker. He captures the sadness and yet the joy, of knowing that there will be a better place. Sydney's verision of "Love me Like A Rock," I think is better than Paul Simon's. Yet nothing moves this album more than the perfect voice of Allison Krauss. Her delicate harmonies with the Cox sisters are exquisite. I hope that Country Music and mainstream music will soon realize that Allison Krauss is the finest singer/musician of her generation and her amazing talent is heaven sent. Enjoy!"

"As usual the quality of music on this album is outstanding.....i was born and grew up in the nountains of Western NC and Eastern TN, my mother sang many of these songs as we worked out in the fields..we could hear her singing clear across the mountain.........Sorry, i can't give you an objective opinion about the music on this album, it goes too deep into my heart...."

"I actually bought this as a gift. I was not a gospel fan. Neither was I an Alison Krauss fan. And who was the Cox family? Now that has all changed - I loved it! Very moving, emotionally and spiritually (even if you are not that way inclined). I quote from the giftee: "An excellent example of the genre." Take the time to listen for yourself - it will be worth it."
