Synopsis

Album Description
The companion EP to the 2005 full-length, "Hau Ruck". "Ruck Zuck", which loosely means "Right Now", joins the tradition of KMFDM's classic EP releases. This 9-track record contains over 40 minutes of music, including remixes and never before released material. KMFDM continue to create ultra heavy beats with a sly dose of political irony on their cover of DAF's dance floor classic "Der Mussolini". "Ansage" closes out the disc with a German spoken word soundscape that mirrors the tone of our times. "Ruck Zuck" commands the attention of all dance, electronic, and industrial fans right now!

KMFDM is ready to blow
Erica Anderson | Minneapolis, MN | 05/13/2006

"I have been a KMFDM for the past several years now. Over the years the band has put out some good albums and some mediocre albums. I wasn't too impressed with "WWIII" so I wasn't sure whether to get their follow up "Hau Ruck" but eventually I did and loved it. When I heard that the band was going back into the studio to remix a few tracks off "Hau Ruck", I knew it was going to be something special. I was right. "Ruck Zuck" proved to be something special.

The EP kicks off with the killer "Free Your Hate" which is ten times more brutal than the "Hau Ruck" version. "Free Your Hate" is more industrial and less metal than a lot of the band's music has become lately (not that it isn't a bad thing). "Mini Mini Mini" blew my mind away. I loved the J.Hogstorm and the Rain City Swingin' Samples Mix. I love how Jules incorporated swing music with industrial music. You wouldn't think that it would work but it did. "Professional Killer" is one of my personal favorite songs off "Hau Ruck" so I was really looking forward to hearing The One and One mix. The One and One Mix has a more techno sound than the original version. I love it.

All of the songs on the EP is classic KMFDM. "Ruck Zuck" is a definite must for KMFDM fans. The band goes back to their industrial roots and gives their recent material added energy."
RUCK ZUCK!

"I was one of the few who had the pleasure of hearing Ruck Zuck in it's entirety on KHNC 89.5 in Seattle. It's been almost 10 years since the last hefty chunk of remixes. It was well worth the wait.

Mini Mini Mini (J.Hogstorm and The Rain City Swingin' Samples Mix) is one of the best remixes on the cd. It has a swinging "big band" vibe. I absolutley love the "doo-wop" background singers. The remix of Hau Ruck was a little slower and much more sinister. The Kapt'n did a great a job on that one. The cover of "Der Mussolini" is a great track, very catchy and very dancy. It is much better in my opinion than the original by DAF. The cd ends with Sascha speaking in very dark german about his views on the world, along with a strange little tune at the end. I completely recommend purchasing. It is a great addition to Hau Ruck."
