"I am a HUGE fan of this era of KISS and it is also the reason why I am not thrilled with this CD. The song selection simply could have been better and the flow of the disc just doesn't feel right.
The biggest beef I have is that lousy ballads like "I Will Be There" and "Nothing Can Keep Me From You" wind up on here while a beautiful song like "Every Time I Look At You" doesn't make it. That is just mind-boggling to me.
The studio version of "Domino" would have been a better choice than the Alive III selection and "I Just Wanna", "Jungle" and/or "Master and Slave" also belong on this CD.
Still, this collection does boast a lot of really good tracks. "Unholy", "God Gave Rock and Roll To You II" and "Psycho Circus" are all KISS essentials. The two Unplugged tracks are both good choices and "Into The Void" is a great Ace Frehley tune.
I recommend this CD, but it could have been better."
