"This is for sure a hit by Kirk Whalum. I really like the collaboration with his son and brother, as well as one of my favorites, George Duke! Unfortunately, it is not getting the airplay it deserves. What is soo good about Kirk Whalum is his flair for international and diverse cultures. It shows with #6 El todopoderoso and his feature of Jonathan Butler who sounds just as good as ever. Favorites are #2(Top of the list, Kirk reaffirms that you can have good jazz in 2002-2003) #11(Kim Burrell is spectacular sounds like a tune enjoyed by Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald fans....sort-a-kinda) #10( feel good music reminds you of the Saturday Night Live Theme)# 6(good jazzy tune)shoot!.......the whole thing is good."
LOVE IT!!!!!

"I love this cd. I bought it 2 weeks ago and I listen to it everyday. There really isn't a song on the cd I do not like. However, if I had to pick I would say #s 1, 2, 10 & 11 are my favorite. I highly recommend this cd. I believe you will enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you and God Bless."

"I heard this song on the gospel channel on cable. My goodness it made me sit erect and I have this song in my heart!
I will definitely get this cd if only for this one song. It is beautiful and so precious.
My goodness you will be a BELIEVER if not all ready that JESUS LOVE is truly UNCONDITIONAL!
Yes, I have falling in LOVE w/ JESUS all over again!
Amen,
"

"Point Blank. One of the best Gospel Jazz Albums ever made. A live album with the likes of George Duke, Jonathan Butler and Tata Vega along for the ride, every song is quality and the flow is smooth from begining to end. I love John 1:1, Seasons, Thy Kingdom Come, No Word Praise and of course, the now classic, Falling In Love With Jesus. If you don't have it, get it. Don't start a Gospel Jazz collection without this!"
Close but not as good as Chapter 1

"I like this CD. It really fills a gap that has existed between gospel music and jazz. The stylings and solos are good, yet the mixing and post production work is pretty rough for a live album. The vocals are pretty good but may be the weakest link in this CD. A headliner gospel choir and vocalist is needed before a third CD should be considered. While Kirk's friends are nice, I can think of many better singers and gospel artists that I would like to hear him bring together. Perhaps a neat idea for the next CD.
