"The "Kinks-Size Kinkdom" CD combines tracks originally released on the American albums "Kinks-Size" & "Kinkdom" along with non-LP sides from the same period(1964-1966). Taken along with the self-titled debut "Kinks" (remastered CD with bonus tracks) and the CD "Kinda Kinks" they represent the complete output of the early Kinks. Many of the tracks on this CD are otherwise unavailable on CD, particularly the "Kinkdom" album. This CD shows their first leap forward, style-wise. Whereas their debut was straight forward meat & potatoes rock 'n' roll, this album began to show a more developed level of song-writing both lyrically and instrumentally. A first taste of their mid to late sixties classic period is well represented here with many of the songs among my favorites by the Kinks!! Happy listening."
