I can't nor will rave on about how these guys are musical genius's or any such nonsense, because they aren't. They are good musicians, occasionally pen a tune that you might like, but like oh too many "artists" of this age, certainly can't fill an entire LP, disc, whatever from start to finish with gems. Sure there's a couple tunes that caused me to buy this cd, but sadly it's destined to mostly collect dust on the shelf rather than be put into a play list anytime soon. Found myself wondering which song was which far too often as the Kings just can't seem to stray too far from one particular "sound" and song type, which almost makes them more boring than interesting. If you really like that sound, then most likely you'll really like this cd. If you're like me and find it slightly interesting, but not worthy of extended listening (as in every song sounds alike), then you'll probably agree with my perspective on this effort.

This album is overloaded with meandering, mid-tempo tunes. WHERE ARE my damn punchy, hook-laden, ass-kickin Garage Rock that seemed effortless on Aha Shake Heartbreak & Youth & Young Manhood??? Ok, Ok, so there are a few but I was looking for more than 3, so I’m pissed. Im only giving THREE stars here because these guys still write their own music & lyrics
