The King

"Just as good as volume 1. At first I was turned off by some of the effects, like the sounds of guns firing (it seemed a bit silly and obvious), but once that grew on me or I got over it (whichever), I was able to dig it just as much as the first one, which is saying a lot.
If you're new to Tubby, this is as good a place to start as any."

"I'll just add my two cents to the other five star reviews. All of the Blood and Fire King Tubby CDs are essential. They are DUB in its purest sense. Check out also Freedom Sounds in Dub, Dub Gone Crazy, Dub Like Dirt, Yabby You Presents King Tubby's Prophesy in Dub, Termination Dub (King Tubby & Glen Brown), and If Deejay Was Your Trade. All the players are there: Bunny Lee,
Jammy, Scientist, Aggrovators/Soul Syndicate, the vocalists (bits of Johnny Clarke, Horace Andy, Prince Alla. . .), the great deejays (I-Roy, Tapper Zukie, Dillinger. . .) - the whole wonderful family that surrounded The King."

"Some Prince Jammy, some Scientist, some King Tubby-- you get a broad experience of DUB in this two-volume retrospective compilation (with "Dub Gone Crazy"). If you've never experienced DUB before, these essential Blood & Fire discs are a great place to start."
