"WOW! yeah, loved that abum! A true jewel. My favorite band so far! Appeals to every sense and beautifully produced! The CD as a whole was a massive discovery right away, on the first spin. The guitar player is certainly one of the best out there. He doesn't bludgeons you over the head to make his point. His technique is very subtle and eloquent. In a way, a beautiful and original style. Man, the way he can make an acoustic guitar SING!! Brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it! The singer (Jozy) is absolutely awesome. What a voice! Something about it that seems to be smooth, yet super huge and deep.
The DVD addition is absolutely riveting. I think this is the best music DVD ever made and every video was filmed and edited by Kin Za Za. The setting is beautiful and the images are really touching. A masterpiece. One of the best albums I have ever enjoyed. I bought this CD/DVD with extremely high expectations and every one of them was exceeded! Wonderful. I can't recommend this wonderful and beautiful work of art enough."

"Wonderful melodies, beautiful singing, great lyrics. I first heard an interview with the members of Kin Za Za on NPR and only got a snipit sampling ofthe music but as I was driving I scribbled down the name and title of the album - I'm SO glad I took the leap based on that quick NPR interview and the other reviews listed here on Amazon because this is one cool group! Its a little new-age-ish, a bit jazzy, and yes, the singer's voice is a bit like Enya or Basia but the music is different. It has a light airy texture at times, at others it grips you and makes you want to dance. Really neat music."

""Number One in Shambala" is a superb album, and KIN ZA ZA make it look and sound as easy as breathing. This is an astonishing piece of music in which acoustic instruments effortlessly blend with hi-tech wizardry...
Confirmed by this album as masters of production and songwriting, KIN ZA ZA give an impression that they are still absorbing styles, still searching, still flexing, still looking for that special KIN ZA ZA signiture."

"I have waited for the DVD release of this album for some time and am not disappointed at all . Worth the money and worth the wait! This band/duo is one of a kind. Its presentation is very original and the production developement is outstanding. It can be called a masterpiece!
This is some of the most amazing music I have ever heard. Very romantic and passionate. This album is not for those who use music
to relax. It is for those who love actively listening to music...OK and for those who love making love. It is the next generation of New Age music. Honest, without any sheesy sweetness (of other "new age artists") and truly musical. Well their new album should be out
some time next year. Can't wait. Viva Kin Za Za."

"Just got this when it came out Oct 1.Fantastic!!! recommend it alot!... takes awhile to grow on you. Kind of a futuristic Sarah McLachlan sound in a lot of places. Very eclectic, but damn there are some gems on this album. Standouts are "The River", "Story" and The "Mirror" are just an INCREDIBLE songs. Everything from the lyrics to the music to the production."
