CD ReviewsPrime late 80's NYHC Self Induced | Drexel Hill, PA | 12/25/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "when I think of the late 1980's NY Hardcore scene, I think of classic albums like Sick Of It All "Blood, Sweat, & No Tears", Agnostic Front "live at CBGB's", and especially Killing Time "Brightside". not only is this a great album by itself, but Victory records re-issued this album a few years ago with a ton of bonus tracks including the "Happy Hour" e.p. and the original Raw Deal demo recordings making this an incredible slab of prime classic NYHC." Straighforward HC David C. Johnson | Spencer, MA USA | 03/25/2003 (3 out of 5 stars) "Killing Time was somewhat obscure back in the day, and I'm suprised this CD is even in print.Good, straightforward grinding HC. Shouted lyrics, anger, agression, its all here in clasic NYC style. If you like SOIA, early Revelation bands, Sheer Terror, Cro-Mags, etc, then this is up your alley, but on the other hand there isn't much new here that the above mentioned bands didn't cover, and do better.Trivia note, I believe Killing Time came out with a more melodic second album... but I might be completely wrong... I'd have to dig through all my cassettes." Raw Deal Adam Cummins | Vienna, VA United States | 02/21/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "I saw Killing Time in the late 80s when they opened up for Sick of it All and they were still called 'Raw Deal'. Make no mistake, there is no 'raw deal' with them, regardless of the name. Great, classic moshpit HC from back in the day. This album includes all of the songs I saw them play as well as several others. 'Wall of Hate', 'Fools Die' both are great representations of the entire album."
